the condom is the glass slipper of our generation

wilco_1.jpg

sup playas? i forgot to mention that the contest for the rhino reissue of its a shame about ray double disc/dvd ends on friday @ midnight, eastern time. if you dont know what i am talking bout, see the post below.

i still feel pretty bad about not diggin sky blue sky at all, but am hoping for some kind of awakening in a year or two or at very least be able to make it through the entire record. which, at this point, i cannot say in good conscience i can do. i know its a good to possibly great record, but its missing something that all other wilco records have, thats having songs that stick to my bones. “hate it here” comes the closest, but really comes nowhere near the strongest material on all their previous records.

here are the men of wilco on 2.18.08 @ the riv, which i believe is night two of their recent stand. thanks to william for the recording.

Wow, dude, you’re awesome for not just posting THIS show, but for the other night a few weeks ago. ALMOST as awesome as Wilcom themselves for treating the crowd to two 3-hour gigs where they covered pretty much their entire catalog in the duration. Thanks for all the goodies!
