wazzz up? firstly, i am once again addicted to butterfingers. i had stayed away from their crunchy choclatey goodness for too many years, and now they are back in my life. hopefully for good.
hey, david bazan of pedro the lion fame plays at the earl on saturday evening. if i werent going up to the georgia mountains this weekend, i just may have attended. opening for david is jim fairchild formerly of grandaddy. his record, ten readings of a warning, features a pretty awesome cast of characters, including, janet weiss, joe plummer and danny seim. check out all smiles myspace page for some tracks. david, on the other hand, has a new 10 song ep called fewer moving parts and features 5 new tracks, including this one…
check out daytrotter for some bazan love
prepare the hyperbole police. if i could marry sera cahoone’s voice, i would. she’s attractive for sure, but that voice of hers is like a tummy rub from god. this beautiful piece of work flew under my radar for a good year and a half. i really dont know how this happened but i’ll be damned if i let it happen again, this year. for those that dont know who she is, she was the drummer for carissa’s wierd. you know the band that band of horses rose up from. if you dig beth orton, cat power, neko, etc. then you should love this. she was signed to sub pop earlier this year i believe.
i love the minutemen and here they playing in switzerland on 2.24.83 - its either a soundboard or an fm broadcast.

thanks for the minutemen. great show by a great band. D Boon was the Basho of rock guitarists: he brought exactly what was needed and left out the filler. His Marxist-cum- beat poetry lyrics were always thought provoking and totally singular. Bravo.
Nice Minutemen find.
