travel by sea.days of my escape
the hotter it gets, the more days of my escape sounds like the perfect soundtrack for moving through the gauze that is the southern heat or better yet dont move and just take it all in. lovely stuff…

the thermals.the body, the blood, the machine
nothing like a good lecturing about our fucked up mortality and morality to make those liquor/beers (for me) or that inevitable promiscuity (for you) taste that much sweeter.
jawbreaker.dear you
epic punk rock songs for long road trips, or maybe just a wastin the day away playin gta. records dont get much better than this. miss you, blake! btw, the unlisted song has one of the best lines ever penned, hopefully you can figure out what it is - being ever jaded helps in figuring it out…

beastie boys.paul’s boutique
oh, what fond memories i have of the summer of 89 and everything leading up to the release of paul’s boutique. half the beauty of pauls boutique is being awake during the time when it was released. they make reference to so much of the rumour, speculation and hoopla that surrounded the band prior to paul’s release that much of it’s kinda an in-joke, but its also funkee as hell. it’s aged beautifully and still #3 on my list of favorite hip hop records of all time.

calexico.the black light

sweet relief: a benefit for victoria williams
no one can weave a tale like victoria williams. interestingly enough, they sound so much better in other artists hands. this collection is damn near perfect.
main road - lucinda williams
crazy mary - pearl jam
this moment - matthew sweet

Awesome list!
First you break out the Rocket in your first post, then you lay out some Jawbreaker here. Nice!!!!
I never heard of the Smoking Popes before. I’m glad you sold me on them. Sounds great.
