and sweet babies cry for the cool taste of milking

morning, peoples! man nothing like the life of a bachelor, even if it is for 10 days. actually, its mildly depressing. i have so used to constant barrage of noise that the silence is kind of discomforting. i’ll survive, i think. although, my diet is now completely in the shitter. friday night i had two hotdogs, then at about 11 pm i had two patio frozen burritos. yesterday wasnt any better. btw, the patio beef and bean burritos are fuckin awesome.

anyone own a canon powershot g9? thinking about getting one in the coming months - have to sell some shit on ebay before doing so. not unless of course someone wants to donate one to my cause. anyway, i would love to get a dslr but quite frankly i dont want to lug around something like that on a daily basis. from everything i have read, the g9 seems like a great alternative to the dslr. or if anyone has any other recommendations for any other feature-laden p&s, please dont be shy.

honestly, i never really listened to sigur ros all that much. i tried to get into the first one, and while its pretty good, it was just too ”something” for my tastes. really havent given them much of a thought since. maybe my tastes have changed, cause me thinks this new one is pretty damn fantastic - even if i dont know what they fuck they singing about. its really quite a lovely record - everything seems a lot brighter and melody orientated to what i remember them sounding like. may just have to go back and reinvest some time into their catalogue. you can grab the first single, “goobledigook,” here.

i have had a bunch of requests to repost this neutral milk hotel show, which happens to be there last, for now hopefully. im still real hazy on the actual tracklisting. so, this is the order i posted it the first time around, but i cleaned up the tags.

i come to you in a time of trouble, for i was fuckin around and wanted to see if xp ran any better on my pc. now, i partioned part of my harddrive to install said os and figured i was all good. that would be a miscalculation on my part. now, when i boot up only xp is running and not vista. i even went as far as to delete the partion and when i reboot it gives me the cant find your boot partition, dumbass, error. i have tried everything i know how to do to remedy the situation, but have fallen short thus far. playing the odds, i know there has to be a windows expert around here. i will be momentarily grateful for any assistance.

Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

i am so fuckin frustrated at the moment! i have been attempting to install ubuntu on my laptop for the past 4 days and i keep getting this goddamn bcm43xx error! i have hit all the boards, followed all the rules but yet it just doesnt want to load. i give up! i am not even trying to actually install it, but run the live cd. i just wanted to try the fuckin thing out. it shouldnt be this difficult, seriously. what-fuckin-ever…

you may or may not know, or care for that matter, but i am a technology geek. i visit engadget, gizmodo, boy genius report, phone scoop, etc more often than i care to admit. gadgets are my second addiction and they could be my first if i could actually afford them. i am forced to live vicariously through the brief descriptions and unboxings that grace their pages. sigh! as it turns out not all hope is lost in my quest to get my hands on the latest and greatest. somehow through the vastness of the internets, sprint happened to find mine and offered me a chance to participate in their ambassador program. so, they sent me the samsung upstage - part phone, part mp3 player and have provided me with 6 months of unlimited voice and data. at this point, i am really torn but i will provide a decent review in a few weeks after i have gotten past the learning curve.

lily allen the bj queen? sure why not?

i am approaching the new queens of the stone age, era vulgaris, with a controlled enthusiasm mostly due in fact that i am not a fan of lullabies to paralyze. it was just way to hit or miss for my liking. here’s hoping to a return to form.

here are the queens playing @ the bizzare festival in 2001.

you may or may not ignored the new tab up there labeled “survey, please.” if you have 10 - 15 minutes to spare please do go through the motions for me. will ya? i mean it probably wont mean much in the long run, but it couldnt hurt or so they tell me. love ya!

i cant face the bubble boy

this is very funny for those of lucky enough to actually try and us this piece of shit. warning: explicit use of the fuck word throughout. my favorite quote is “wow playing top gun with the power glove is like puking on a pile of shit.”

i can almost hear you getting fatter

yeah i might have to break down and get a 360 not only for the new grand theft auto, but i also hear that my favorite gaming franchise, metal gear, is coming to the 360.

in other news, i have been completely addicted to this song for the past couple of weeks. it tis “run, christian, run” by super furry animals off of rings around the world. super furry animals fall into the “bands i love but dont ever listen to” category. while i have been digging into their catalogue the past few weeks, i am sure they will fall back into the deepest depths of my hard drive not to be listened to again for several months.

run! christian, run!

rings around the world

ladies and gentlemen, we are rummaging through the garbage

anyone happen to catch bill gates on the daily show last evening? i was quite suprised on how awkward the whole interview went down. one would think that if an individual was planning on going onto either the daily show or colbert, they would either a. have some kind of sense or humour or b. be quick witted. bill gates was neither of these, but i guess when you are bill gates you dont have to be. still, it was quite odd especially when he bolted off stage while they were still on camera. there are a few early reviews in on vista, some good, some bad, some indifferent. i played with it a bit at bestbuy the other day, and my initial reaction was “so what?” granted thats a pretty sophmoric reaction, but there was truly nothing outside of the animated wallpaper that would make me want to upgrade. although, if i had an intel mac i would maybe invest in it.? check out this post over at gizmodo.? it piqued my interest quite a bit.

it took about 6 months and a shit load of convincing from kyle over there at more cowbell to make me a believer in the arcade fire. i listened the hell outta funeral to little personal fanfare during that estimated time frame. i dont know when, specifically, i started diggin on funeral but i can almost say with 90% certaintity that my new found appreciation was fueled by either a. beer or b. vodka. the most excellent things in my life have been discovered under the influence of the above liquids, see my wife and child for evidence. while i would like to consider myself a mid-size arcade fire fan, i have yet to listen to any of the leaked tracks off of the yet to be released disc. i’ll get around to it one of these days, i am sure of it.

here they are playing at first avenue in minneapolis on 9.29.05 - great recording, btw.
