your local “indie” shop should have all the shellac records on vinyl - at least they should. if not ebay’s a good source. the 1000 hurts vinyl package includes the cd too or it used to anyway. greyhound sounds a bit sludgier than previous shellac records but i think that may have been part of the point considering how anal albini is about that stuff.

since i upgraded my sound system at home and my in-ear headphones, i’ve been poking and prodding around looking for shellac on vinyl. you know how albini goes on and on about analog… i’m curious to see what it sounds like.

though the reviews were right - the production on greyhound is a little subpar compared to action park, etc. it’s a fantastic album though. it definitely transports me to a foreign barren shellacked land.

very cool lisa. i cant listen to em all the time but when i do its pretty spectacular. i have yet to actually “buy” it but they always have cool packaging.

shellac seriously blew my mind the first time i heard them on a mixtape that a friend gave me (”crow”). ever since then, they’ve definitely filled an era of my life with their grinding riffs and albini’s fantastic rage. “to the one true god above…” so awesome.

shellac are definitely my favorite.

bonus: the packaging for excellent italian greyhound is great!! just picked it up yesterday.
