Rod Stewart, in more talented times.
The Mac just made a lot of kids in rock land very happy: The long-rumored Faces reunion is in the works! Rod Stewart will actually sing good songs again!
“I’ve wanted to for years and so has Woody and Kenny. Rod is now interested it seems and I’m real pleased about that, and he’s serious about it. I mean we’re trying to get it together, it’s just a question of schedules,” McLagan told 6 Music: “We’re hoping to get together later this year, just to get together, to play and then we may have some news - but I want it to happen, badly. It’s gonna be great if it does happen.”
Indeed.
We recommend the nerds-only doc, The Passing Show: The Life and Music of Ronnie Lane.
.
And if you can track it down, get Ronnie Wood’s appearance on the talk show (60 Minutes-style) “The South Bank Show,” a must for any fan and covers Wood in all his worlds — rock, painting, farm life, family and (semi) sobriety.
