merman! merman!
sup, dudes? hey have you heard about this pretty cool new service called muxtape? its one of those why the hell didnt i think of it deals, which sadly happens quite a bit. anyway, its pretty much a service that lets you upload 11 or 12 songs and create a mixtape to share with your peoples. here is the official captains dead muxtape. i can see this being kinda addicting. if you’ve made one, please do share it with the class.
hey a new tilly and the wall song from their forthcoming record which is untitled, and is definitely not entitled O, which is due out on 6.17. the people at sorry lions straightened me out.

i dig fiddles, pedal steels, southern lilts and of course 3 piece harmonies, therefore i must dig i see hawks in la, right? i can say with some certainty that i would probably enjoy their new record, hallowed ground, based purely off this track. so, yes i guess i do like em. their ethan allen produced, hallowed ground, comes out on may 20. i believe ethan used to or still does work with daniel lanois, if that tells you anything.

Thanks for the Buckner, Ecovedo show. Got love for both those guys. I am psyched to hear this.
Peace
Is the title to this post a Eugene Mermin reference?
I was at this show! About half way through Buckner asked a special guest to come up and sing with them. The guy on my left, who I’d paid no attention to, gets up and goes onstage…it was Peter Case! Buckner…amazing…Thanks for this one!
I just discovered the muxtape thing too. It’s a pretty cool tool. Here’s mine: classic country mix.
Thanks for the Muxtape hookup. The rest of my workday just got fucked.
will — It’s from Zoolander. :D
Love the muxtape Gregor. I need to check out Cory Branan.
I have yet to hear note one from him but hear/read great things.
yeah, will its from zoolander like tony says, and whoever you were mentioning sounds way beyond my realm of knowledge, which isnt saying much honestly.

Thanks again Gregor…
GOD! Two of my faves! Thank you so much and what a STELLAR recording! Just wait til ya hear Al’s Sensitive Boys on his new record…did you know he’s signed with Bruce’s management? And that he played on stage with Bruce the other night in Houston?
Oh…just listening now…track 18 is actually called “Gauzy Dress In The Sun” it’s from Richard’s record Bloomed. He calls out in the beginning “Hey Eric…ya wanna do Gauzy?” which must’ve been understood by whoever was keeping track as “doggie”! :-)
very cool, karen i didnt know that. sometimes i get real lazy and dont pay attention to what i am typing or what i am listening to thus “doggie.” do you have the re-issued bloomed? settled down is one of my absolute favorite songs.
I do have it and I agree…that song just knocks me out!
