as it turns out one of my favorite artists, chris whitley, is not doing so swell. he has from what i have read been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and its in the advanced stages. i have been a fan since i first hear phone call from levanworth off of living with the law all the way back when. i had the chance to meet him at an after party at Martyrs in Chicago a few years back and he was a very cool guy who was nice enough to answer some of my gay ass fan boy questions. this has really gotten me down but i guess his music will live on even after he’s left this mortal coil.
