well done for finding these they really are awsome.

secondly, i would have to agree with you regarding 98 percent of the rap out there, but of course there are exceptions. in fact, when a rap record is good its typically really fuckin great. i couldnt recommend to you enough the likes of early public enemy, boogie down productions, del the funkee homosapian, aesop rock, el-p, or actually the entire def jux label, a tribe called quest, de la soul, and bands of the like. shit, even the first two or three cool j records were awesome.

the same could be said about rock too. you really have to dig below the surface, or left of the dial as westerberg would say, to find anything worthwhile. i say give at least it takes a nation of millions or fear of a black planet - both public enemy records - a try and get back to me. or something more recent, check out aesop rocks’ new record none shall pass - its definitely one of my favorites of the year.

rap, all rap i’ve ever heard, though, is sorry and tired and repetitive, monotonous, empty, devoid of anything original. hollow bellowing from insecurity (non)complexes…
