Some photos from last weekend’s Newport Folk Festival, from a roundup that I did for my main gig.
I was stunned to find out you can’t embed Flickr galleries. Pictobuilder was by far the easiest widget I found. Thanks to Diego for creating it! You have to hover over “notes” in order to see captions.

looks like an awsome lineup. how was the jackob dylan set with steve earle?
they didn’t perform together — they were back to back on the same stage. earle was about to go on in that photo. i only saw the last song of jdylan’s set. earle was, as always, great.
it was a great lineup. there has been a lot of backchat about the booking path the new handlers are taking. but frankly i find it refreshing. i skipped it too many years in college/post (i was born and raised there) because the lineups were so redundant and uninteresting.
Must have been a blast playing there. I’ve been there for the Jazz festival before, and it’s beautiful.
