i love that maury is on like 4 times a day which of course is completely unnecessary, but of course i love it. today, on the second episode, they had little kids - 2 to 4 years old - who weighed anywhere from 60 to 120 pounds. it was pretty fuckin sad, and of course there were mothers on there who blamed their children for stuffing their faces with obscene amounts of ribs, cup cakes, cheeseburgers, potato chips, pop, etc. good times.

btw, did you guys happen to check out sarah silverman on the mtv movies awards last evening? i actually made a note to check out her opening monologue - which didnt disappoint and i ended up checking back more often than i had planned. my night was almost made with the almost kiss between her and jessica biel which was pretty hot.

i aint even that god damn lazy. sheesh!

firstly, congrats to rich from cable and tweed on being named one of the 5 atlanta bloggers “who matter” by creative loafing.? very cool indeed.? although, the tone of the article leaves something to be desired in terms of the state of the atlanta blogosphere. whatever?

if you are looking for something bump in your hyundai his summer i gots the record for you.? lil wayne’s da drought III is one of the funkiest records i have bopped my noggin to in a long ass time - see the coup’s pick a bigger weapon as a close second. seriously, this is some really? great stuff.? ? i love the fact that there are no lame ass r&b back up singers, which i absolutely abhore,? found throughout the record.? this is hip hop at its finest.? there is? another mixtape thats damn good? called none higher that can be found around the internets for free! check out the smoking section for the download.

an exciting concert announcement, well at least for me.? richard buckner will be performing at the earl on july 21 with a full band - which is quite rare.? kent, oh’s six parts seven will be pulling double duty - opening for richard as well as acting as his band.? i have only sampled the six part seven stuff via the suicide squeeze site but they sound really freakin great.? if mogwai featured horns, a lap? steel and a rhodes piano? they would probably sound like six part seven.?

if the bloc party happen to be your thang then head on over to criminal tomorrow evening and be wowed as they helm the wheels of steel for a special dj set starting at 6 pm. they play later in the evening at the tabernacle.

on saturday, i will probably be attending the free in store by non other than mitch easter - the man behind a whole bunch of stuff but most notably for producing rem’s early, and finest releases. he will be playing at the aurora in the highlands @ 3 and then later that night @ the earl. here are a couple o’ tracks off his latest, dynamico.
