‘top of the evening. maybe its just me, but for those of you that still compile end of the year lists, are you having a difficult time this year? like i said, maybe its just me, but there was a lot of stuff that i was initially excited about, but failed to make it past a few listens. i think i have a really solid top 10 - 15, but past that is pretty sketchy, at best. there have been a lot of great singles this year, i will admit that. too bad those great singles didnt find themselves on equally great records…
i saw my bloody valentine when i was 14 or 15. they opened for dinosaur jr, and the opening opening band was babes in toyland - they still around? anyway, i am sure i have conveyed this before, but mbv was a mind fuck. i cant really explain how they made me feel except to say i was in trance like state for the better part of 45 minutes. it was pretty magical, i must say. i am sure anyone who ever got to see em would back me up on the that. sadly, i didnt get a chance to see em this go around….
