i hear ya matthew. the last couple of releases have taken me quite some time to get into. when i say awhile i mean like a year. everything up to in violet light is stellar in my opinion.

I always take weeks and weeks to get into Hip albums. I invariably dislike them for at least the first half dozen or so listens, and equally invariably end up really liking them after maybe a month or so. Weird, especially since it continued to happen even after I noticed that it was happening.
